How to join a meeting as a guest in Microsoft Teams

You can easily join a Microsoft Teams meeting hosted by Hatch Communication as a guest. If you are invited and do not have a Teams or Office365 account, follow these easy steps.


  1. Check your email for the Teams Meeting invite, accept the request.
  2. On the day of the meeting, go to the calendar entry and click the Join Microsoft Teams Meeting link. – example:  Join Microsoft Teams Meeting
  3. Open Teams on the web or download the program.
  4. Enter your name and choose your audio and video settings.
  5. Click the Join Now button to be admitted into the meeting lobby.
  6. The meeting organiser is notified when you are in the lobby. The organiser will then admit you to the meeting.
  7. For documentation purposes, all client meetings are recorded on the Teams platform.
